Please Join Us Today in Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer to heal sickness, to provide for families, to surround believers with a hedge of protection, and to change lives for the better. God’s Word tells us that all believers can go boldly unto the throne of grace in times of need, whether those needs be our own or those of others. Please join us in praying for others around the world.
Who We’re Praying For Today
Afghanistan: Radical groups like ISIS are using universities to recruit new fighters. Pray that students and professors would discern ISIS’ lies.
Iran: Pray for an unnamed Christian evangelist who was arrested near the Azerbaijan border. Very little information about the arrested individual is shared. However, the report does cite some of the so-called justifications of arrest as including “publicize evangelical Christianity,” “establish house churches,” and “destroy Abrahamic religions (by) disturbing public opinion in the public and virtual spheres.” A number of items related to this individual were confiscated. AFGHANISTAN: "WE PREACH THE GOSPEL"
An interview with Javed and Lowen, who are working with Operation Mobilization to reach people in Afghanistan with the gospel and disciple new believers to follow Jesus in spite of persecution and violence. They discuss how God is working in Afghanistan, in spite of Taliban influence and Christian persecution that often starts with a new believer’s own family.
IRAN: THE BIGGEST LOVE
Ali, a follower of Christ in Iran, and his family have experienced God’s rescue numerous times. First, God rescued Ali’s father from alcoholism. Then Jesus rescued Ali from drug addiction and hopelessness. They began to follow the God Who rescued them. But following Jesus in Iran is costly: persecution came quickly as Ali’s grandfather gave him one week to denounce Christ and return to Islam, or else.
