Revelation 6:2 — Conquering and to Conquer

Revelation 6:2
Share or Download Revelation 6:2

The opening of the first seal shows the rider on the white horse which represents the Antichrist, the counterfeit Christ who imitates Jesus riding a white horse to the battle of Armageddon (Revelation 19:11) accompanied by his army of angels and saints (Revelation 19:14).

When this seal is opened events are set in motion that cannot be stopped. As we look at everything that’s taking place in the world today it’s very possible that the seal has already been opened. Whether or not this is the case, we must ensure we are always on guard, being as wise as serpents (Matthew 10:16), and always remaining sober and vigilant (1 Peter 5:8).

We must watch and pray that we enter not into temptation, as Jesus told his disciples in the garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:41). We must hold up our shield of faith that will quench all the fiery darts of the wicked (Ephesians 6:16).

This is the fourteenth verse image in our ongoing series from the Book of Revelation. See here for all images in the series.

Revelation 6:1-2

1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
